2v2 as enhancement is a complete waste of time. Trust me.

I strongly advise against enhancement in arena unless you just wanna screw around. If you want to seriously do arena, you *have* to spec elemental or resto (resto preferred) to even stand a chance.

Whenever we face a team with an enhancement shaman, I consider it a free win.

Elem / Resto are basic for arena unless you want a terrible rating.

I can see where you are coming from, shamans die fast as enhancement because we charge in and become the focus of there dps, but i am at like 8.5k health unbuffed and i am working to get 9 hopefully 10, like if we can stay alive we do decent amounts of dmg i can stormstirke a clothy (after purge) and they usually die, and flame tounge is magic witch negates warriors armor so i mean as long as you use wf 5 on mh and flametounge on OH then you are fine aginst everything, i just need a partner and if we try it and we are unsuccessful i will switch to elemental but until then lemme try it.

You can try it for sure =p. However, 2v2 play is VERY different from 1v1. Enhancement shamans will be focus fired almost all the time. We will simply CC your partner and kill you in less than 10s. The resto earth shield is a huge factor. HP / Res won't save you 2v1 against burst dmg classes.

I'm 9k hp unbuffed (as of tomorrow morning!) and I can still be burned down in a stunlock if Tranced is CC'd properly. You may be able to stormstrike hard, but you can be controlled very easily in arena - and WF is luck based currently =S. We'll set up a skirmish sometime and we can show you ;).

Gonna have to agree with Og and Rice. Me/miris had been trying out me as enhancement with him holy, the highest we could ever get our rating was about 1600. This week when i went resto and him shadow, we jumped up to 1850. It's just very difficult for an enhancement shaman to even come close to hitting someone due to CC and other factors like Og has stated. If you can make it work then props to ya, but its very very unlikely you'll go anywhere. I'm sure if you went resto you could find a pretty could partner and own it up.

I swear it is a gear factor i have seen some really good enhancement shammans do very well in arena i also think a partner that can cc is needed. sure your partner being ccd is a factor but you gotta be the first one to it and another one ofour big advangages is our totems i mean grounding can asorba hunter traps and tremor prevents cc the only thing missing is the sap, so i mean cc is preventable, I have some good ideas i wanna try out and things i just need me a partner!

The problem is partially gear, but mostly class mechanics. Shaman simply do not have the cc/anti-cc abilities to perform well as a melee spec.

Let's take a look at what each melee class does to get in range:

Rogues have stealth, sprint, vanish, crippling poison, etc.
Druids have stealth, charge, passive movement speed bonus, roots.
Warriors have charge, intercept, piercing howl, hamstring, berserker rage.
Paladins have hammer of win, passive movement bonus, and judgement of the crusader.
Shamans have frost shock on a diminishing return, and a 5 hp totem with a 10 yard slow range. Both of these have cooldowns.

No matter how good your gear is, no matter how much hp/resilience you get, it will not make you immune to getting cc'd by every class. When I did 3v3 with aesa and dawkness as enhancement, I spent the first 30 seconds of the arena getting cc'd and focus fired by more than half the teams. I often contributed nothing above 1000 damage at best.

When I did 2v2 with felisia, they would sap him and beat the shit out of me. There was nothing I could do. You will lose against 90% of melee classes. I couldn't touch a rogue as enhancement. Warriors killed me so easily while I windfuried them for 300. I won't even start on druids.

Both bhoredom and I have had first hand experience with the pain that is enhancement in arena. Don't do it. If you do, prepare for failure and massive QQ.

2150 team beat us, thanks, and even if they did lose to one particular matchup, higher rating = overall more wins

You realize that's probably the only enh shaman that will ever beat you in 2v2. They are absolute shit against everything except healers and maybe warlocks.
